研究领域: Remediation of contaminated sites requires prioritization multiple decisions that benefit from a risk-informed approach, recognizing that costs can be billions of dollars and available resources are limited. First, the sequence in which individual sites are cleaned up must be established.  Second, remediation objectives need to be set in response to likely impacts to human health, natural resources and ecosystems. Third, the selection of specific remediation technologies needs to have a meaningful basis for comparing treatment process effectiveness.  This presentation will discuss a risk-informed approach to clean up decisions and the roles of leaching assessment in those decisions.
