Prof. Stephen Hsu is a world renowned tribologist.  He spent 27 years at the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a Sr. Scientist and as a Sr. Executive. In 2007 he joined George Washington University as a part time Professor. He went to City University of Hong Kong in 2007 as a Chaired Professor and Head of the Manufacturing Engineering Department. In Jan 2009, he returned to GWU as a full time professor leading the formation of the GW Energy Institute. He has over 250 publications, a score of special publications and books, 7 US patents, and 40 plenary lectures.
