Professor Hong Liang is with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Texas A&M University. She received her B.S. in materials science and engineering from the Beijing University of Iron and Steel Technology and M.S. and Ph.D. from the Stevens Institute of Technology. Her postdoc was conducted at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Her research areas are in advanced materials, tribology, and nano-bio interface. She has published 3 books and about 90 journal and 100 proceeding articles in related areas. She is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of the Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers that she is also serving as a board member.
